TempleDAO, also known as TEMPLE, is a virtual currency that aims to provide DeFi (Decentralized Finance) users with a low-volatility, fractionally backed, and yield-bearing token. The goal of TEMPLE is to bridge the gap between stablecoins and high-volatility tokens, providing users with an accessible medium that is both secure and stable.

The platform is built on the principles of low volatility, fractional backing, and yield-bearing. This means that TEMPLE tokens are designed to ensure that the price changes neither up nor down quickly, and that every TEMPLE token is backed by a specific amount of stablecoins, known as the intrinsic value (IV). This intrinsic value is guaranteed to never diminish and can only increase as the revenue of the platform increases. The ultimate goal of TEMPLE is to reach a state of "Ascension", where the intrinsic value of the coin is more than the purchase price of the token. This reduces price risk for users and allows the platform to multiply tokens and offer additional benefits.

TempleDAO is built on two main pillars: DeFi and the Metaverse. The DeFi aspect of the platform aims to provide users with a secure place to store their assets, away from volatility and inflation. The Metaverse aspect of the platform aims to offer DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) and other tools, products, and services to support gamification components of the project and boost community engagement.

TempleDAO was introduced on the Ethereum blockchain on August 9, 2021, by a group of anonymous individuals. Their goal is to provide DeFi users with an accessible, low-volatility, and yield-bearing token that is backed by stablecoins and offers additional benefits to users who participate in the growth of the community. The platform is still in development and will continue to evolve as the community grows and new features are added.
