SpookySwap (BOO) emerges as a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange (DEX) operating on the Fantom Opera network. To further enhance liquidity within the platform, users can participate in liquidity pools by providing their digital assets, earning liquidity pool (LP) tokens in return. These LP tokens can then be staked to earn BOO tokens, the native cryptocurrency of SpookySwap. Beyond its monetary value, BOO tokens also serve as governance tokens, enabling holders to actively participate in the decision-making processes of the platform. Additionally, transaction fees collected on SpookySwap are denominated in BOO tokens. Notably, a significant portion of the token supply, approximately 72.7%, is allocated to liquidity farm rewards, ensuring stakeholders are duly incentivized. Furthermore, 5% of the token supply is reserved as developer funds, facilitating ongoing platform development and innovation.

Turning to the history of SpookySwap, the platform was officially launched on April 17, 2021. It was brought to fruition by a team of five anonymous developers, namely Eerie, ooGwei, No. 4 Type C, Patchwork, and Shrimpy. The BOO cryptocurrency, serving as the lifeblood of the SpookySwap ecosystem, boasts a maximum total supply of 13,666,000 tokens. In its initial distribution, 20% of the total supply was created. Notably, a portion of the tokens, specifically 273,320 tokens, was reserved for the initial DEX offering, while 546,640 tokens were allocated for the initial farm offering.
