Rise of Defenders (RDR) is a captivating play-to-earn game on the Binance Smart Chain that combines Tower Defense and RPG elements. Its gameplay is focused on building bases, recruiting troops, creating kingdoms, and interacting with players worldwide. Rise of Defenders is designed to keep players on the edge of their seats as they upgrade their heroes to protect their base from attacking monsters.

Rise of Defenders heroes come in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) with unique fighting and defense skills. Players can use their heroes in different modes, such as campaign mode, tournament mode, and arena mode. They can also upgrade their heroes with mythical equipment that can be collected in the various game modes. The game’s developers drew inspiration from classic RPG games such as Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Tactic Ogre, and AFK Arena.

Campaign Mode

In the Campaign Mode, players battle on different maps against various enemies to collect rewards from loot boxes. These rewards come in the form of the game’s RDG token or equipment. Players can advance to new levels and territories and battle increasingly difficult enemies to receive better rewards.

Tournament Mode

In Tournament Mode, players battle against each other with their teams of heroes. Tournaments are organized in seasons, with each season lasting for one week. At the end of a season, players receive points and rewards, and their performance determines whether they are promoted or relegated. Players can conquer up to eight ranks, each with their respective prizes.

Arena Mode

The Arena Mode is scheduled to be released in summer 2022. Players will be able to field up to three heroes in the battle against other players in a turn-based, three-on-three player-versus-player mode. A player wins when the opponent’s heroes are destroyed, or the match timer runs out. In the latter case, the player with the highest percentage of remaining HP wins. Players will be ranked based on their performance in an ELO-based ranking system.

Rise of Defenders Founders and Investors

Rise of Defenders is developed by Apero, a game design studio based in Vietnam. The team consists of over 70 people with expertise in blockchain, game design, marketing, and finance. Apero is led by Minh Pham Huy, a blockchain expert with over 11 years of experience in business and more than five years of experience in cryptocurrencies, technology, and e-commerce. The team is backed up by a strong tech team, led by CTO Luan Doan, a mobile app developer and software engineer with years of experience in tech development.

Rise of Defenders stands out from other play-to-earn games on the market due to its unique plot. The game takes place on a mythical continent called Enotias, where players build their bases, recruit troops, and create their kingdoms. On Enotias, several different races lived together peacefully before that peace was disrupted by Orcs trying to displace the King of Althia. Players battle to restore peace in three different gameplay modes.

Although Rise of Defenders is a tactics-heavy game, it is accessible even to inexperienced players because of its automated fighting mechanics. Players can easily assemble a basic team to start competing in campaigns and tournaments. Additionally, players earn RDG tokens by engaging in the various gameplay modes.
