Native Coin, or N8V, is a digital currency that is decentralized and universal, designed specifically for use by Native American tribes and their casinos. The main aim of the token, as stated in its whitepaper, is to allow tribal enterprises to transfer currency globally while avoiding the profit margin constraints faced by traditional currencies. This is achieved through the use of an internal peer-to-peer method, resulting in much lower costs for fund transfers.

N8V is not limited to just casinos, as its vision is to be accepted and utilized across all tribal businesses and enterprises, including hotels and resorts. Furthermore, the token seeks to enhance the global gaming experience and attract users from around the world to these businesses via online gaming platforms.

Indigenous businesses face several barriers, including political, economic, and social challenges. N8V addresses these challenges by allowing for transactions that eliminate these barriers, enabling non-indigenous companies to identify indigenous businesses and form business relationships. The token also solves the challenge casinos face in acquiring new online gaming customers, as it significantly reduces the time it takes for banks to approve transactions.

The blockchain technology that supports N8V is Ethereum, providing a secure, sovereign, and practical currency for tribal businesses and indigenous enterprises not only in North America but also in other parts of the world. Consequently, the token adheres to the ERC-20 standard. Additionally, the currency is not limited to indigenous peoples or tribal entities but can also be used by international logistics groups, non-tribal private businesses, and private transactions.

Andrew Ebona, the former Executive Director of the National Congress of American Indians, founded Native Coin in 2019. He currently serves as a treasurer for the third term for the National Indian Gaming Association. Andrew realized that Native American tribes needed a financial system free from the bureaucratic and regulatory constraints associated with traditional currencies and financial systems. As a result, he created N8V to provide a financial system that is both efficient and secure.
