Experty Wisdom Token (WIS) is a crucial component of the Experty platform, a blockchain-based knowledge-sharing platform that aims to create a decentralized and democratized exchange of knowledge and information worldwide. The Experty platform offers a blockchain-based calling protocol that enables knowledge seekers and providers to connect via an audio or video call. Providers can set their own rates per minute for their services, and users can pay the fees either before or after the call. To facilitate payment transfers, the platform allows users to rely on external (third-party) services that ensure the payment process is regulated for both parties and avoid any confusion.

The platform is built on the Ethereum blockchain and uses the same protocol as WhatsApp or Google Hangouts for audio/video communication and peer-to-peer data encryption. Knowledge providers on the platform can be experts from various fields, such as lawyers, medical consultants, business advisors, professors, programmers, or language experts, who offer their services via a mobile application.

WIS token uses the ERC677 token standard and is fully compatible with ERC20. The ERC677 is Ethereum's new token standard with a transfer-and-call function and inherits its functionality from the existing ERC20 standard.

While the Experty platform's native token was initially EXY, the company launched a token swap program and introduced WIS token as the new native token. WIS token builds on the core functionality of the EXY token and offers significant improvements that complement the functionality of the Experty ecosystem. For instance, WIS has an additional Wisdom Pool feature that allows users to broadcast messages to multiple professionals simultaneously and get replies within 24 hours. WIS is used for all payments on the platform.

Kamil Przeorski is the CEO and founder of the Experty platform. The project's whitepaper was last updated on September 29, 2017, and the token upgrade announcement was made on October 21, 2020. WIS token went live on November 9, 2020, and the maximum supply of WIS is 100 million tokens.
