The Gardens are visualized in a unique way through different plants and crops that players have to tend to and harvest to receive their rewards. Each garden is a unique LP pairing, and the harvested yield is deposited in the storehouse.

Heroes: Heroes in DeFi Kingdoms are playable characters that can earn token rewards and level up their stats. They are assigned to go on quests and battle in different gameplay modes, including the DFK Duel minigame. Heroes are bought and sold in The Tavern, and new heroes can be summoned at the Portal by combining genes from existing heroes to create an entirely new, potentially extremely rare, NFT. Players can also equip their heroes with Pets and various Equipment NFTs, enabling them to have special passive and active abilities. Quests that heroes go on allow them to gather in-game resources, increase their farming yields from the Gardens, and unlock those rewards early with the help of Mining Heroes.

Land Plots: Players can also buy Land Plots in DeFi Kingdoms. These plots will differ based on their location, providing different quantities of resources. In the future, players will have the option to build on their lands to increase bonuses for Heroes. Owning land will also enable players to find new valuable resources that can be used in Crafting and other game modes.

CRYSTAL is the power token of DeFi Kingdoms: Crystalvale. It is used for all in-game activities, such as buying and selling Hero and Pet NFTs, summoning new Heroes and leveling their stats, hatching Pets, and participating in the DFK Duel minigame. CRYSTAL can be swapped in the DEX for other tokens and in-game items, pooled for liquidity, and is emitted by the Gardens in Crystalvale.

The original maximum supply of CRYSTAL was 125 million tokens, but it was increased to 250 million tokens in December 2022 as part of DeFi Kingdoms’ updated tokenomics. The additional CRYSTAL is being airdropped to holders of locked JEWEL on Harmony and will also be locked.

CRYSTAL will begin unlocking in late March 2023, which will gradually bring the circulating supply up to match the total supply over the following year, even as CRYSTAL continues to be emitted in the Gardens up until it reaches the maximum supply, minus any burned tokens.
