Chronicle (XNL) is a platform that is dedicated to creating an experience for fans by providing them with a marketplace for licensed digital collectibles. The founders of Chronicle have recognized that the current barriers to entry for digital collectibles are the prerequisite knowledge of how cryptocurrencies work and high network gas fees. To solve these problems, they have created an eco-friendly centralized platform that is user-friendly and rewards its users through DeFi-like strategies.

The platform offers a range of features such as an easy email address sign-up process, access to digital collectibles, the ability to trade, bid and gift collectibles, gamification of building a Chronicle profile and a user-friendly experience where each user is assigned a wallet for storing their collectibles. The platform operates on a proof-of-stake blockchain solution that offsets carbon emissions, making it eco-friendly.

The native cryptocurrency of Chronicle is XNL, which is an ERC-20 utility token issued on Ethereum. XNL serves as a means of reward and incentives for the Chronicle community. By staking XNL tokens, users can acquire Chronicle Medals which give them exclusive access to different NFT drops, sales and auctions. Staking XNL also makes users eligible for discounts on the Chronicle Store, allows them to participate in community governance through voting and receive rewards through various DeFi programs. XNL tokens can also be donated to approved charity partners and used to offset carbon emissions.

Chronicle (XNL) was launched in 2021 and its whitepaper was released on August 10th of the same year. The team behind the platform includes experienced professionals from various fields such as marketing, operations and blockchain technology. The cofounders of the platform are Tim Glover and Jim Jin, with other executives and advisors such as Doug Neil, Fong Jek Gan, Lucas Lang, Yemu Xu and others. The operations of the platform are handled by a dedicated team of professionals led by Jack Ewins, Manuel Bejarano, Jennifer Joseph, Willa Wan, Aarom Wilson, Melissa Moyle and Monika Tantau.
