What is Alchemist?
Alchemist (MIST) is a decentralized platform that aims to develop new projects by funding, incubating, and supporting small agile teams to create products that solve challenges. It is a yield aggregation and yield-bearing ERC-721 NFT ecosystem that offers funding, education, support, and distribution to its users. Alchemist Fractal defines the structure of the Alchemist ecosystem and has various goals, including increasing the value of liquidity suppliers by increasing their payouts, allowing for permissionless and socially-scaled growth, and more.
Alchemist has launched various projects such as Copper, Crucible, Sandwiched, and MistX, to name a few. Copper is an open-source platform for token launches, and Crucible allows users to participate in multiple reward programs and easily transfer them. Sandwiched checks whether coders have run the DEX trades, while MistX allows users to trade Uniswap and Sushiswap pools without risks.
The Alchemist platform's senior alchemists make up the Alchemist Council, which decreases inefficiencies caused by collective MIST holder voting events and speeds up decision-making. They are chosen from the Builder, Apprentice, and Chaos Lab's pools, as well as the greater crypto ecosystem. The council has the authority to decide on various aspects, including funding new projects, reducing the centralized role responsible for Alchemist's success, and making the ecosystem more stable.
MIST is an ERC-20 token of the Alchemist platform. A user can give liquidity for MIST alongside an equal amount of Ether (ETH) in a liquidity pool. In return, the user gets Liquidity Pool tokens (LP) that reflect their stake in the pool. Participants can use these LP tokens to withdraw their MIST and ETH from the pool when they use it. The total supply of the MIST token started with one million and increased by 1 percent every two weeks.
Alchemist consists of four different projects, including Crucible, Copper, Mistx, and Sandwiched. Crucible is an ERC-721 NFT used as a smart wallet for other ERC-20 tokens and kept in an Ethereum wallet. Copper is a framework for participation in Balancer Liquidity Bootstrapping Pools that is open, transparent, and user-friendly. Mistx Labs is a DeFi app development team under the Alchemist group, while Sandwiched.wtf is a website that shows users how much money MEV traders and bots have made by sandwiching their trades.
In conclusion, Alchemist (MIST) is a decentralized platform that provides funding, education, support, and distribution to its users. It aims to develop new projects by incubating and supporting small agile teams that can solve challenges. The platform's senior alchemists make up the Alchemist Council, which has the authority to decide on various aspects, including funding new projects, reducing the centralized role responsible for Alchemist's success, and making the ecosystem more stable. Alchemist consists of four different projects, including Crucible, Copper, Mistx, and Sandwiched, each serving a unique purpose. Overall, Alchemist is a promising platform that offers great potential for innovation in the crypto space.
